After watching countless beauty videos I had caught my eye on two things in particular that I just couldn't help but stop and look at everytime I walked past them in stores. The two items were the Bare Minerals perfecting face brush and L'oreal's true match foundation. As a beauty blender lover and a mass user of foundation sticks, these two items were something I was shocked to be leaning towards as they were not what I'd usually go for, especially liquid foundation! After a bad experience with foundation brushes not spreading properly or leaving brush bristles behind on my face, I certainly wasn't going to choose any op foundation brush this time round. The perfecting face brush caught my eye instantly in a email I had gotten from Kit about their new realises, not only was this a firm, flat brush but it was unlike anything I had seen before, it had, basically a hole in it, this purpose of this was to have almost a bowl for your makeup to sit in so you can buff it into your skin! Upon seeing this I knew immediately that I wanted to give this brush a go! However I chose not to go a head a purchase the matching liquid foudation, this is because upon watching videos and reading reviews it wasn't really the best suited for oily skin and it was more for a natural look and not so much a full coverage foundation, because of this I decided, after hearing people absolutely rave about this coverage, colour, etc. of true match that I was going to try it.
I bought the perfecting face brush by bare minerals at Mecca Maxima for $36
And I bought the true match foundation by L'oreal from Priceline for $20
True match comes with a pump, making it a lot easier to place in the centre of the brush. I absolutely loved both these products! The brush applied the foundation flawlessly and the foundation was super lightweight, really good, full coverage and really buildable! At the time of using the foundation I did have some spots on my face and it covered them really well, after hours of use on the first day it was still looking fresh and didn't look shiny and because of my oily skin my foundation will usually start to look shiny and oily on my forehead but that wasn't the case with this! I also wore this to the beach (I didn't go in the water but it was a full day in the sun with salty air and very windy) and it stayed on flawlessly all day! I would definitely re-purchase this! As for the brush, I haven't use my beauty blender in ages, however it did prove a little difficult to wash this brush but I did manage it and it's fresh as a daisy now! But still not as hard to wash as the beauty blender! The brush blends really well and doesn't clog up, doesn't shed and I absolutely love the idea of putting the product in the centre of the brush it helps a lot!!
I would 100% reccomend purchasing both these products! They were outstanding and I will be using this for a long time!!
