FIRST I want to explain how my skin is and its coloring and my past experiences with brands of self tan.
First of all, naturally I tan pretty well, I don't burn in the sun I go a really nice brown... But unfortunately, naturally I'm pale this is because I got 'thick'? Skin that will tan easily and not burn from my dad but I got english skin coloring via my mother. The reason I just don't go out and tan myself naturally is because I don't want to damage or age my skin and I want to be in control of the color it goes and where so naturally I was drawn to self tan. In the past I had only ever used self tan spray and gradual moisturiser. The brands I used were dove for the gradual moisturizer which was a great color but it was ALWAYS blotchy, then I moved onto self tan spray by sugarbaby which was the most amazing color, the application was flawless but... It came off on everything!! So I had to move on from that and I found Le Tan, again great color but it was blotchy and slightly orange.. After that I just tried the self tan spray from amcal which was pretty much perfect but still had that slight orange tinge. After hearing about Bondi sands and how pleased everyone was with it I really wanted to try it, but in the foam!
Which product do you use and which color is it and why?
I use the self tanning foam and its in the 'dark' color which is the black bottle. I choose dark because I felt that if I got the light - medium one it just wouldn't work and it wouldn't be what I'm looking for.
The foam is amazing. I chose it over spray tan because they had never really worked for me, so I decided to try something new and I don't think I'd ever go back to spray tan again!
How do you apply it?
Along with my product I bought the self tan application mit and it's pretty much amazing, it spreads the tan around evenly doesn't leave marks, and it doesn't get tan on your hands! Major bonus!
How often do you apply it?
Once a week usually maybe even less, it stays on really well throughout the week but every weekend I will reapply it :)
How many uses will you get out of one bottle?
In one bottle (one large bottle) I think, personally I could get maybe 2 months out of it? I haven't really thought about it, however I do re-apply within 10 minutes of the first application!
How long do you leave it to develop?
The longest I've left it was 9 hours and the shortest was 4, and honestly both times they turned out no different. It takes an hour to dry and after that you can see it developing. They recommend 6 hours but because I reapply it I think anything over 2 hours using the dark version would still give you a great, dark color.
